PURPOSE:To produce a bissilylimine useful as an intermediate for producing organosilicon compound, organosilicon material, etc., by reacting a disilane with an isonitrile by using a stable and readily handleable platinum catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A disilane (e.g. 1,2-diphenyltetramethyldisilane) is reacted with an isonitrile (e.g. N-cyclohexylisonitrile) in the presence of a platinum catalyst such as tetrakis(triphenylphosphine) Platinum or platinum chloride to give a bissilylimine (e.g. N-cyclohexylbis(phenyidimethylsilyl)imine. In this method, a readily handleable platinum catalyst is used, a reaction product is easily obtained and is readily separated and purified. This method is industrially advantageous. |
