PURPOSE:To enable detection of an angle of turning of a vehicle from a difference in running distance between fixed wheels and an interval thereof by converting running distances of steering wheels into running distances of a pair of fixed wheels. CONSTITUTION:A rotation sensor is provided to detect a pair of steering wheels WFR and WPL mounted on a vehicle and running distances thereof separately and a microcomputer to convert running distances of the steering wheels WFR and WPL into running distances of a pair of fixed wheels RR and RC supported at a fixed interval on one rotating shaft orthogonal to a propulsion shaft following a direction of propulsion of the vehicle so that an angle of turning of the vehicle is detected from a difference between running distances of the fixed wheels WRR and RL converted and an interval between the fixed wheels WRR and RL. In other words, as the running distances of the steering wheels EFR and WFL are converted into the running distances of one pair of the fixed wheels WRR and WRL, an angle of turning of the vehicle can be detected accurately from the difference between the running distances of the fixed wheels WRR and WRL and the interval thereof. |
