PURPOSE:To obtain the resin compsn. for medical implements and materials which is improved in a hemolysis property and cytotoxic effect and has excellent resiliene and transparency by mixing an ethylene/carbon monoxide/alkyl (meth) acrylate copolymer with a vinyl chloride resin and incorporating specific glycerol ester therein. CONSTITUTION:The resin compsn. for medical implements and materials consists of the vinyl chloride/ethylene copolymer having the ethylene content within a 3 to 12wt.% range, the average degree of polymn. within a 700 to 2900 range, and the ratio of the weight average mol.wt. to number average mol.wt. within a (2.5:1) to (5.5:1) range, the ethylene/carbon monoxide/alkyl (meth)acrylate copolymer and the glycerol ester expressed by the formula (1). Melting at a relatively low temp. is possible if the vinyl chloride/ethylene copolymer having the specific ethylene content, degree of polymn. and mol.wt. distribution is used. The resin compsn. for medical implements and materials which is additionally improved in the transparency, mechanical properties, hemolysis property, and the cytotoxic effect is provided. |
