PURPOSE:To provide the title recording material having good transparency and excellent storage stability and reduced in a change of the density of a developed color part with the elapse of time by mainly constituting the wall material of a microcapsule of a polymer substance composed of a copolymer consisting of two or more kinds of monomers forming homopolymers whose glass transition points are different by predetermined temp. or higher from each other. CONSTITUTION:A coating solution containing an emulsified dispersion, which is obtained by emulsifying and dispersing a microcapsule containing a colorless- light-colored electron donating dye precursor and the coupler dissolved in an org. solvent hardly soluble or insoluble in water, is applied to a support and dried to form at least one thermal layer. A thermal recording material is formed by providing at least one protective layer in said thermal layer and the wall material of the microcapsule is mainly formed from a polymer substance composed of a copolymer consisting of two or more kinds of monomers forming homopolymers whose glass transition points are different by 10 deg.C or higher. |
