Excellent windability magnet wire comprises an insulating layer of synthetic resin film formed on a condutor and a lubricant layer made of an intimate mixture of natural wax as major component and thermosetting and fluorocarbon resins formed in the insulating layer. 1-30 Wt.% fluorocarbon resin, especially PTFE or fluorinated ethylene-propylene copolymer is added to 100 wt.% natural wax and thermosetting resin, especially shellac or water soluble phenol resin. Lubricity and abrasion resistance are greatly improved enabling productivity and yield of coil making to be raised.
