PURPOSE:To detect a synchronizing signal with the number of bits fewer than that of the synchronizing signal by providing a synchronous pattern detector to detect a synchronous pattern comprising part of the synchronizing signal, a timing controller, and an output controller. CONSTITUTION:A synchronizing signal detector is constituted by providing the synchronous pattern detector 5 to detect the synchronous pattern comprising part of the synchronizing signal, the timing controller 8, and the output controller 12. Therefore, all the synchronous patterns forming the synchronizing signal can be detected, and the synchronizing signal can be detected by detecting all the synchronous patterns. In such a way, it is possible to detect the synchronizing signal by the pattern detector 5 with the number of bits fewer than that of the synchronizing signal. |
