PURPOSE:To control the patch of a ROM by only preparing a RAM area which is sufficient for storing correction data and its address information by extracting directly ROM correction data from a correction data store RAM and executing it. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 extracts a ROM address to be corrected and a RAM address of an area in which its correction data is stored from a correction data store RAM 4 through a correction data address storage means 2. Subsequently, the RAM address and the ROM address on an area to which this RAM address is put are stored successively in a correction data address information store RAM 3. It is executed to all the correction data. Next, at the time of executing the data on an execution data store ROM 7, the CPU 1 selects through an execution data selecting means 5 whether execution data on the execution data store ROM 7 is to be executed as it is or correction data on the correction data store RAM 4 is to be executed. In such a way, the patch of ROM data can be executed without copying all the ROM data to the RAM.
