发明名称 POROUS ADSORBENT FOR BETA2-MICROGLOBULIN
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the adsorbent which can selectively adsorb and remove beta2-microglobulin from blood or plasma by incorporating polyamino acid having a porous surface therein. CONSTITUTION:The porous adsorbent for beta2-microglobulin has the polyamino acid having the porous surface. The fine pore size distribution of the porous adsorbent has a peak in an about 9000 to 40000 range in terms of the mol.wt. of dextran when gel permeation chromatography to a dextran standard mol.wt. material is executed. The polyamino acid to be used is exemplified by homopolyamino acids, such as polyalanine, polycystine, polyglycine and polyaspartic acid, and the derivatives thereof or the copolymers of >=2 kinds thereof. The selective adsorptivity for beta2-microglobulin is optimized by controlling the hydrophobic property of the porous adsorbent contg. the polyamino acid. The hydrophobic property by the primary structure of the polyamino acid is controlled by introducing a suitable substituent into the polyamino acid side chain.
