PURPOSE:To securely collect a developer into a developer recovery container by supplying electric power required only to collect a developer which deteriorates in a developing unit and driving none of other developing units. CONSTITUTION:When a developing sleeve 46b is rotated forward first under the control of a control system, a sleeve 50 for developer recovery is rotated as shown by an arrow E. A developer at a magnetic pole N and on the outer peripheral surface of the nearby developing sleeve 46b is separated from the outer peripheral surface of the developing sleeve 46b through the operation of a magnetic field produced by a magnetic pole S4 to fall in the developer recovery container 12. At this time, some developer moves to the side of the magnetic pole S2, and the remainder moves to the side of the magnetic pole S1. Then when the sleeve rotates as shown by an arrow F, a developer remaining on the outer peripheral surface of the developing sleeve 46b corresponding to the periphery of the magnetic pole S1 is discharged in the developer recovery container 12. Consequently, the developer which deteriorates can easily and securely be collected without contaminating respective parts of an image formation device. |
