PURPOSE:To enable the starting of an operation to be completed in a short period of time by a method wherein columnar members, whose tip ends with a fuel nozzle are projected from the side wall of a combustion subchamber, are provided in the combustion subchamber, and an air-fuel ratio is increased at the increasing time of the number of revolutions of the columnar members. CONSTITUTION:At the starting of an operation, fuel l is fed, and ignition for cross firing is effected. Thus, the feed amount of the fuel l is increased and, when it approaches an upper limit blowing-off limited flow rate, the feed of the fuel l is kept constant and fuel m is fed. When fuel nozzles 3 reach the number of revolutions capable of singly burning, the flow rate of the fuel lis increased while the flow rate of the fuel m is gradually decreased and, prior to reaching the rated number of revolutions with no load, the flow rate of the fuel m is reduced to zero. According to this constitution, the starting of the operation can be completed within a short period of time.
