PURPOSE:To recover the device with a retrial by collecting a data block being already lost on a main storage from the buffer memory of an auxiliary storage device being troubled once onto the main storage. CONSTITUTION:Since the data blocks to exist on buffer memories 81-8n of the auxiliary storage devices are reclaimed onto a main storage 11 at the time of device troubles of auxiliary storage devices 91-9n, the restoration by the retrial of an output instruction can be executed. Since a main storage area 16 necessary only for storing the data blocks to be collected at the time of faulting the device of the auxiliary storage devices 91-9n is assigned and it is released after the completion of the retrial of the output instruction to an alternating device, the main storage 11 can be efficiently used. Thus, without lowering the utilization efficiency of the main storage 11, the retrial at the time of writing the auxiliary storage devices 91-9n having the buffer memories 81-8n can be executed. |
