PURPOSE:To prevent careless or erroneous operation, by using operation instructing signals for moving headlights up and down and positional signals as control signals so that a motor drive instructing signal is issued when a newest operation instruction signal is generated. CONSTITUTION:A retractable headlight drive control device provided, with a motor mechanism including a motor 5 for moving headlights up and down, comprises operation instructing signal forming means 11, 12 for generating instructing signals U, D for raising and lowering headlights, and positional signal generating means 21, 22 for generating signals indicating the raise and lowered positions of the headlights PU, PD. Motor drive instruction signal forming means 31, 32 issues a motor drive signal MD only when the operation instructing signal is turned into the lowering instructing signal from the raising instructing signal or viceversa, and when the operation instructing signal is turned into before completion of the operation, motor drive follow-up instruction forming means 1, 2 controls the means 30, 31 to issue a motor drive instructing signal MD in accordance with the turning of the operation instructing signal. |
