PURPOSE:To obtain a feeling of right and left sound spread without arranging speakers with a long distance between them and to improve a feeling of orientation of a central acoustic image by extracting difference components between right and left stereo audio signals and adding one of them to original signals with the opposite phase and adding the other to original signals after delaying it. CONSTITUTION:Difference components between right and left audio signals are extracted by differential amplifiers 7 and 12, and one of them has the phase inverted by opposite phase amplifiers 9 and 14, and the other is delayed by delay amplifiers 10 and 15. These phase-inverted and delayed signals are added to original audio signals by adding circuits 11 and 16. Outputs of adding circuits 11 and 16 where these three kinds of signal are added are inputted to power amplifiers 2 and 5 and are subjected to power amplification and are applied to right and left channel audio signal reproducing speakers 6 and 3 and are reproduced as sounds. Thus, a sound reproducing device is obtained where a feeling of wider right and left spread of stereo sounds is obtained without arranging right and left speakers with a long distance between them and the acoustic image is satisfactorily orientated to the center. |
