PURPOSE:To prevent an already sung text part from hindering sight of a picture like the background by successively fading out the already sung part of the text superimposed to the picture of orchestral accompaniment video soft. CONSTITUTION:The display character signal string from a mixer 4 is supplied to a superimposer 2 through a fader 11, and a color gate signal is supplied from a gate 8 to a fade signal generator 10 to generate a fade-out signal whose waveform has a text timing pulse as the start and is gradually reduced slightly later. This fade out signal is applied to the fader 11 to subject the display character signal string from the mixer 4 to such attenuation that a superimposed display character string will be faded-out, and thereafter, this signal string is supplied to the superimposer 2 to superimpose display characters. Thus, the already sung part of the text is successively erased with soft touch in accordance with the advance of accompaniment, and a user can comfortably see the background picture. |
