PURPOSE:To reduce the contact resistance between an electrode and an electrolyte plate by using a corrugated porous plate having almost the same thickness as the electrode as the reinforcing body of the electrode comprising a porous sinter. CONSTITUTION:Gas separating plates 6 are formed on the backsides of porous positive and negative electrodes 2,3. Corrugated molding plates 8 having almost the same thickness as the electrode are embedded in the electrodes 2, 3 as reinforcing bodies. The exposed part 8' of the plate 8 is arranged so as to face a gas space, and a corrugated gas passage plate 5 is interposed between the electrode and the plate 6. The plate 5 is arranged so that its corrugation intersects perpendicularly to that of the plate 8. The exposed part 8' of the plate 8 is electrically in contact with the projection of the plate 5, and the surface pressure applied to the electrodes 2, 3 from the plates 5 is supported with the plates 8. Mechanical strength against the fastening pressure applied to the thickness direction of the electrodes is increased and the contact resistance is reduced without the use of an ordinary current correcting plate because the corrugated molding plate exposed on the electrode faced to the gas space is directly in contact with the gas passage plate. |
