<p>PURPOSE:To enable two iron cores to be set and fixed easily without damaging a cable by providing a hooking member on one of first second iron cores, and providing a lock lever rotatably, which engages with the hooking member and makes the facing ends of both iron cores engage each other for fixing them, on the other iron core freely in rotation. CONSTITUTION:In the case of installing a split-type current transformer to the cable 23 such as distribution line, etc., a second iron core 6 is rotatably provided in a separation position shown by a two-dot chain line, and in this condition the insulating catching body 21 of a first iron core 5 is set to a cable. Thereafter, when the iron core 6 is rotated counterclockwise against the biasing force of a pressing spring 19 from the separation position, the comb-shaped engaging parts 7 and 8 of the iron cores 5 and 6 engage each other, and circular iron core 4 is formed. At this time, those are force-bonded and held elastically without damaging the cable 23 by the insulating catching bodies 21 and 22. After this, a lock lever 32 is rotated from the lock-released condition shown by the two-dot chain line to the lock condition shown by the solid line.
