Fastener 1 for fine leatherwork, or equivalent, intended to be fixed to a piece 2 with a smoothed surface 3 in order to form a flattened ring 4 with which a piece 5 in the general shape of a strip, such as a handle or equivalent, can interact, which piece 5 can slide in the said ring 4, this fastener 4 being rigid and comprising a curved bridge part 11 and two tabs 12 intended to be folded against the piece 2, this fastener being intended to pass through, at the junctions 15 of the curved part 11 and of the tabs 12, two eyelets 14 made in the piece 2 and being provided, in these junctions 15, with shoulders 16. It is characterised in that one shoulder 16 extends in the junction 15 substantially transversely all around the tab 12, which has the effect of substantially concealing the entire eyelet 14. <IMAGE>
