PURPOSE:To separate a vital material from a mixture by means of the procedures including adsorbing of the vital material to a carrier, washing, eluting, and regenerating of the carrier by constituting the carrier of an assemblage or film of fibers fixed with ligand. CONSTITUTION:The carrier 1 moves in an arrow direction. The mixture B contg. the vital material A and the carrier 1 come into contact with each other in a tank 2 and the mixture constitutes the complex with the ligand fixed in the carrier and is captured on the carrier. The extraneous matter exclusive of the material A is washed away in a tank 3. The complex is dissociated by coming into contact with an org. solvent, aq. soln. of dilute acid, dilute alkali, etc., in a tank 4 and the material A is removed from the carrier 1. The carrier 1 is washed in a tank 5 and is subjected to a reconditioning treatment. Either of the combination of an antigen or substrate is used for the ligand when the material A is enzyme or an antigen, etc., when the material is an antibody. Fixing of the carrier is preferably by a covalent bond. A woven or knitted fabric of 50 to 300g/m<2> fibers (0.01 to 20 denier size) of methacrylic acid or the ester, etc., having irregular sections of a film subjected to surface roughening is used for the carrier. The required time for the sepn. of the vital material is shortened according to this constitution. |
