More than two parallel wire drums 1a, 1b, 1c are provided which are assigned respectively to a couch roll 2a, 2b and 2c. On the couch rolls, the thickened suspension is doctored off in each case by means of doctors and fed to the next dewatering drum, the material simply falling from the doctor onto this next drum.
