<p>The display panel (1) has a number of openings in a regular matrix. Each opening is in front of the end of the cores in a multi-fibre bundle (12) of optical fibres. Light from two halogen lamp light sources (4, 5) is fed via two separate fibre bundles (8, 9) to the input plate (10) of an optical switch assembly (3). The output plate (11) of the switch (3) is fed to the output bundle (12) of fibres. The optical switch is under the control of an electronic operating unit (2).</p> |
