The dental prosthesis, especially a total prosthesis, is provided with a padded seating (1) which is placed between the gums (2) and the prosthesis (3). The seating (1) is made from cotton wool, wadding or gauze, and its shape and size match the shape and size of the gums. The seating is of semi-elliptic form and its thickness may vary between two and ten mm. It is made from a soft material which is impregnated with menthol or vaseline to protect and treat the gums and mouth. The seating is produced as a throw-away article and is supplied in a sterilised, sealed package. USE - Dental prosthesis.
