In printing mechanisms for typewriters or similar office machines having a daisywheel with axial impression of the types, it is necessary for the carrier of the daisywheel (7) to be adjusted in relation to the roller platen (5). This is necessary in order to adjust the daisywheel to the correct printing height and to the correct rebound. The invention is based on the object of adjusting the interface of the daisywheel (7) towards the roller platen (5) using very simple means. This object is achieved in that bearing angles (34, 35) are arranged on the side walls (29, 30) of the printing-mechanism carriage (6) so as to be separately adjustable and retainable, in that the bearing axle (52) for the pivotable carrier (53) is mounted in bearing bores (51) of the bearing angles (34, 35), in that the bearing angles (34, 35) have catch lugs (55, 56) behind which spring-mounted pivoting levers (57, 58) can be engaged with catch cutouts (59, 60) in the operating position of the carrier (53), and in that the bearing angles (34, 35) have stop lugs (66, 67, 68, 69) for counter stops (70, 71) on the carrier (53) to limit the pivoting movement of the carrier (53). By means of simple adjustment of the bearing angles (34, 35) on the side walls (29, 30) of the printing mechanism (1), the carrier can be adjusted towards the roller platen by means of the adjusting device and the stop device for the daisywheel using very simple means. <IMAGE>
