PURPOSE:To prevent a deformation of a crest part due to pressure and heat at the time of vulcanization, by a method wherein the modulus of elasticity of the quality of the material of the crest part corresponding to a trough part of a cog of a cog belt is made larger than that of other part. CONSTITUTION:A singular or a plurality of synthetic rubber sheets 12 are lami nated on the surface of a cog mold 11 where a crest part 11a and trough part 11b having fixed shapes are arranged alternately and then a metallic bar 3 whose coefficient of cubical expansion is low is arranged in a trough part 11b of the surface of the mold 11. Then a singular or a plurality of synthetic rubber sheet 13 are laminated onto the surface of the laminated body and made into a sleeve molded product. The radius of curvature of 2-5mm corresponding to a curved surface form of the trough part of the mold is preferable for the metallic bar 3. A sleeve 1 is manufactured by pressurizing and vulcanizing the sleeve molded product. Since the metallic bar 3 is laid under the crest part, rigidity of the crest part is improved and a deformation due to compression of the crest part of the sleeve is prevented. |
