PURPOSE:To transmit a light signal with sufficient light intensity by using an optical fiber cable composed of plastic fibers and setting the wavelength of the light signal outputted from an electrooptical converting element within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:The optical link consists of molding parts 3 where the package parts of chipped electrooptical converting elements 1 and photoelectric converting elements 2 are molded out of light transmissive resin and cable insertion parts 4 which are provided integrally with the molding parts 3 and have insertion holes 5 where the end parts of the optical fiber cable 6 are inserted. The optical fiber cable 6 consisting of plastic fibers is used and the wavelength of the light signal outputted by the electrooptical converting element 1 is set within the range of 750-820nm including the temperature dependency of the wavelength of the electrooptical converting element 1. Consequently, the light signal can be transmitted with the sufficient light intensity without being attenuated under the influence of temperature. |
