The hip joint endoprosthesis comprises a stem and a connecting member facing a pelvis part. In the region of its extension arranged so as to face the connecting member, the stem comprises a central element which connects the stem that can be constructed from a modular system to the connecting member that can be constructed from the modular system. The central element tapers in the direction of the connecting member. It is rotationally symmetrical relative to a central axis. The central element has a conical shape.
