In an arrangement for clamping and unclamping the feed bars for a transfer press, connected on one to a drive unit for advancing and returning movements and on the other to a drive unit for clamping and unclamping, lifting and lowering, the feed bars are located on receptacles, mounted on carriers, for longitudinal sliding, with perpendicular guides for carriage movement on rollers. A feed screw rod is threaded on the carriages so that they move towards or away from each other, causing the feed bars to execute clamping or unclamping movements. A spline rod parallel to the screw rod rotates to move the receptacles, and thus the feed bars, up and down. The rods are provided with worm gears engaging worms of a vertical threaded rods, provided with clamp cylinders for adjustment of internal width between the feed bars. |
