An online service providing method includes: a step of making a connection to a communication network and executing a graphic program on a communication network by plug-in software of browser software in a user terminal; a step of presenting the content of an online service to a user by using the plug-in software in a portal site server; a step of changing the graphic in accordance with a user operation acquired via a user interface; a step of accumulating and managing points given to the user in accordance with the user operation via the plug-in software for each of the users in a user management server; and a step of executing download of dedicated software for receiving the online service to the user terminal according to the points accumulated in the user management server. This enhances the user incentive for download of the dedicated software and promotes spread of the online game.
