During takes, horizontally and vertically bounded surfaces are not parallel to the edges of the frame during tilting. The object of the invention is to detect and remove a present tilt by means of a previously unknown, cost-effective device. An essential feature of the achievement is the tilt indicator (1) which is formed by a circularly closed, transparent and hollow circular cylinder (tube) (5), in which a sphere (6) is movably mounted, which cylinder is arranged in or at the viewfinder (2) or is projected into the viewfinder (2) or into the viewfinder display next to the image field (picture area) and it is obvious from the position of the sphere (6) whether the device is tilted or not and the tilt can thus be eliminated.
