Procedure for the preparation of compositions for the reduction of phlebectasias. It involves mixing aluminium potassium sulphate dodecahydrate with a hydrophilic ointment base (vehicle) [methylcellulose hydrogel (Hydrogelum methylcellulosi), glycerol ointment base (Unguentum glycerini), stearin ointment base (Unguentum stearini) or anionic hydrophilic ointment base (Unguentum hydrophilici anionicum)] which is suitable for the preparation of cosmetics and medicines. The compositions according to the invention can also contain other vehicles and auxiliary materials and odorants commonly used in the preparation of cosmetics and medicines. Treatment of phlebectasias, particularly haemorrhoids and phlebectasias which occur in the lower extremities, possibly accompanied by phlebitis, as well as the relief of the phlebalgia caused thereby.
