<p>Method of treating a gas laden with gasifiable or combustible particles, involving passing the entire gas to be treated through an electrically conductive porous body (1) of such a porosity that it retains the particles, following the pressure loss caused by the porous body, automatically interrupting the supply of gas at a specific pressure drop through the latter, automatically applying voltage to the porous body in order to bring it to a specific temperature ensuring the gasification or combustion of the particles which it retains, clearing the porous body of the residues of the particles by means of a gas stream, and restoring the passage of the gas to be treated through the porous body, and apparatus for carrying out this method. <IMAGE></p> |
