The circuit comprises a CPU (100), a video RAM (400) to read/ write the Hangul/English codes, a CRT controller (200 to provide address signal to the video RAM by timing signal, a mode register (1000) to decide parallel or serial modes, a latch circuit (500) connected to the output terminal of the video RAM and to latch the Hangul/English character code of the video RAM by display address from the CRT controller, a decoder (700) to generate 1 byte or 2 byte character code corresponding to the output of the latch circuit and the selection control section (600), and a display section (900) to display the output of a character generator (800).
