Improvements in the manufacture of folding wheelchairs for physically handicapped persons, characterized by a system of folding which considerably reduces the volume thereof and which is formed by a chassis of two trapezoidal frames parallel with each other, the upper element of which constitutes the support for the seat and with the trapezium being completed by one end of the lower one. Both frames are connected by means of three tubes, in the first of which locking pins are fixed and the bigger wheels, which are the back ones, are supported on the ends of the principal elements of the frame, bearing the directional control bushings into which is plugged each support axle of the small front wheel which spins around it. <IMAGE>
