METHOD FOR USING SERIAL/PARALLEL DATA IN PRINTER

A system control switch (10) having informations about the kinds of the serial/parallel ports and about the transmission speed of the ports is connected to a system control registor (15) to convert the serial input data to parallel output data or parallel input data to serial output data according to the command of the switch. When the input data exists, the process jumps to the interrupt routine to read and store the data and returns to provide the data to the serial/ parallel output port asynchronously.
