A biometrics authentication method, a media for a individual authentication, and a biometrics authentication device are provided to prevent divided biometric information from being abnormally acquired and merged even though the divided biometric information is stored at a different media. A biometrics authentication device includes a detecting device detecting a predetermined portion of a body and outputting a biometrics data indicating a biometrics characteristic. A database file stores one portion of the biometrics data among a plurality of portions achieved by dividing the biometrics data of a user detected by the detecting device. An individual media stores the other portion of the biometrics data divided from a biometrics information key(66) created from the biometrics data. A control unit couples the other portion of the biometrics data stored at the individual media to one portion of the biometrics data stored at the database file when performing an authentication through using the individual media.
