PURPOSE:To make the title device compact by conveying paper sheets utilizing the difference between dynamic frictional force and static frictional force acting between the paper sheets and friction plates. CONSTITUTION:When an electric current is applied to a coil 7 by a drive 8 so as to move a movable part 5 by the magnetic force between the coil 7 and a magnet 6, friction plates 1a, 1b perform laterally reciprocating motion by a drive mechanism 2. A paper sheet 3 provided along a guide 4 is conveyed by the motion of these friction plates 1a, 1b. In this case, when the friction plates 1a, 1b move to the right at constant speed, the maximum static frictional force acts between the friction plates 1a, 1b and the paper sheet 3, and the friction plates 1a, 1b move the paper sheet 3 in the conveying direction. On the other hand, when the friction plates 1a, 1b move sharply to the left, dynamic frictional force acts between the friction plates 1a, 1b and the paper sheet 3, and the friction plates 1a, 1b slide on the surface of the paper sheet 3 and returns to the original position due to the fact that the dynamic frictional force is smaller than the maximum static frictional force. Accordingly, the paper sheets 3 are sent successively in the conveying direction. |
