<p>PURPOSE:To speed up cursor movement by a keyboard input and to improve the efficiency of the operation/edition of a display screen by moving the cursor on the display screen in each specific rectangular area and each character. CONSTITUTION:A character screen 101 consisting of m lines and n rows is divided into respective rectangular areas 102 each of which consists of r lines and r rows and allowing respective areas to correspond to the arrangement of a ten key group 105 on a keyboard 103. In the case of moving a cursor 203 being displayed at present to 211, a ten-key 208 corresponding to the rectangular area 205 is depressed while depressing a shift key 207. Macro movement is executed without changing the position of the cursor 206 in the rectangular area. Then, the cursor is moved in each character by using direction keys 212, 213 in a rectangular area 210, so that the cursor can be moved up to 211. Thus, the movement of the cursor up to a far distance can be executed by the small number of operations and the operability and edition efficiency of the system can be improved.</p> |
