VORTEX SEPARATION OF SUSPENSIONS

The suspension turbulent separator is designed for the pre-treatment of rainwater and the separation of rainwater in an integrated canal system (sewer network). The suspension turbulent separator consists of a cylindrical tank with a conical bottom, a tangential inlet at the bottom and with a floating trough. Inclination of the conical bottom is between 10 and 150 degrees. The catch pit perimeter (4) is tangentially attached to the sludge outlet pipe (5). In a height of 1.5 to 2 multiples of the diameter of the inlet pipe (2) from the peripheral wall bottom the outlet holes (8), are situated. The outlet holes (8) are displaced about 270 to 360 degrees in the direction of the transversal water circulation against the inlet pipe (2) leading into the tanks opening (9). The tanks opening (9) is equipped with an outlet trough (11), into which the safety outlets (13) run, placed at the upper edge of the cylindrical tank (1), in front of which the tanks (1) safety spillways (12) are located. At the lower part of the opening (9) above the outlet holes level (8) the overspill openings (10) are situated.<IMAGE>
