This equipment permits an ongoing sensing of lengths of the bar stock and its division into groups based on the length. With known equipment, for identifying lengths and the subsequent sorting of the material into the groups according to lengths, a system of contact sensors is used. The new solution uses contact-less sensors and stores the sorted stock on an ongoing basis in an automatic regime, into tanks based on the groups. The data obtained is used for computerised stock evidence and material for pre-manufacture preparation. The purpose of the equipment rests in the fact that on the end of a roller conveyor a levelling lath is installed equipped with a sensor, and chain conveyors are rested on the frame with thumbs sticking out underneath, of which dividing walls equipped in their upper part with dividers embedded on pins in a swinging manner. The dividing walls are provided in their lower part with arms on loose ends of which draw bars are installed, while, vertically to an longitudinal axis of sorted rods, cameras and a mirror area are installed oriented away from the cameras towards the sorted rods lit with lights.<IMAGE>
