PURPOSE:To have quick and sure lighting-up of a fluorescent lamp by shutting the filament current a certain while after sensing that the fluorescent discharge tube has not started discharge. CONSTITUTION:A pulse generator A2 is actuated immediately when a voltage sensor A1 senses that a fluorescent tube is not lighted. The pulse generator A2 turns on an FET Q1 for a certain specified period of time. The filament current is shut when the anticipation is that the current has maximized, and the energy accumulated in a stabilizer is released to the fluorescent tube. This motion is repeated 100 or 120 times per second until lighting-up is attained. If the fluorescent tube is in failure, surges are absorbed by using avalanche diode or avalanche FET to D1-D4 and Q1. |
