PURPOSE:To permit the selection between the free and locked states of a center differential gear device, besides the selection between the two-wheel drive/four- wheel drive and high speed/low speed by arranging the hubs installed onto the output shaft, intermediate shaft, and a front wheel side input shaft of a high speed/low speed transmission mechanism, in series, and by arranging a selecting sleeve onto the outer peripheries of the hubs. CONSTITUTION:The title structure transmits the output of a high speed/low speed transmission mechanism 3 to a rear wheel side through a rear wheel side input shaft 47 and transmits the output to a front wheel side through an intermediate shaft 48, synchro mechanism 52 and a front wheel side input shaft 49. In this case, the hubs 55, 50, and 51 which are installed onto the output shaft 4, intermediate shaft 48, and a front wheel side input shaft 49 are arranged in series, and a selecting sleeve 56 is arranged (onto the outer periphery of the hubs) so as to freely advance and retreat. The selecting sleeve 56 is meshed with the hubs 55 and 50 simultaneously, and a center differential gear lock state is obtained, and a gear surface on which four-wheel drive state can be set by the simultaneous meshing of the hubs 50 and 51 is formed.
