The solution concerns the production of rotary parts with hard surfaces with a roughness of 0.1 to 0.8 micrometers. Existing demanding operations such as grinding and quenching, during which the surface is oxidized, are replaced by more beneficial operations, such as roller burnishing and transformation hardening by the laser beam, with minimal oxidation and without the decrease in the surface quality.
