<p>PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of a defect in a picture element to its minimum even at the time of generating the defect of a switching element or the disconnection of a bus line by electrically connecting a pair of picture element electrodes arranged adjacently through a prescribed bus line to the bus line through respective switching elements. CONSTITUTION:A pair of picture element electrodes 40 adjacently arranged through a gate bus line 20 arranged between adjacent electrode arranging areas in the extending direction of a source bus line 30 are respectively connected to TFTs 50. Even when either one of TFTs 50 is disconnected at the base end part of a gate bus line branch 21 as shown by an alternate long and two short dashes line A or B and is not driven, a driving signal is inputted to the other TFT 50, so that the picture element defect goes an area corresponding to about a half of the electrode arranging area surrounded by both the lines 20, 30. In order to correct the defective picture element, respective end parts of stand-by wirings 60 laid on the gate bus line 20 are electrically connected to respective picture element electrodes 40 on which respective end parts are positioned by an optical CVD method or the like.</p> |
