PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition having excellent pseudo-azeotropic characteristics, recyclable without causing the compositional change and useful as a fluorocarbon substitute or solvent by using 1-chloro-2,2,3,3- tetrafluoropropane and 2,2-dimethylbutane as active components. CONSTITUTION:The objective azeotropic and pseudo-azeotropic composition can be produced by using (A) 1-chloro-2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropane and (B) 2,2- dimethylbutane as active components and compounding at ratios (A and B) of 28-98wt.% and 2-72wt.%, preferably 38-95wt.% and 5-62wt.%, especially 48wt.% and 52wt.% (azeotropic composition), respectively. The composition has excellent properties comparable or superior to those of conventional fluorocarbons. It can be used by a method similar to conventional simple fluorocarbon without necessitating considerable change of conventional technique. |
