PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition having good curability and stability and excellent UV absorptivity by mixing a specified organosilicon compound with inorganic particles and an organosilicon compound having a specified structure. CONSTITUTION:An organosilicon compound of formula I (wherein R is a 2-8C epoxy group, a 1-6C alkyl, an alkenyl, a haloalkyl or an aryl; R' is H, a 1-4C alkyl, an alkoxyalkyl or an acyl; and x is 1, 2 or 3) or its partial cohydrolyzate is mixed with inorganic particles and another organosilicon compound having a polysilane structural unit of formula II [wherein R<1> is a (substituted) 1-10C alkyl; R<2> is a (substituted) 3C or higher alkyl, a cycloalkyl or an aryl; and n is an integer >=2]. This composition is excellent in properties such as curability and stability, and, when applied to, e.g. a transparent plastics, it can give thereto a high-quality scratch-resistant hard-coating film having excellent UV resistance and a long life. |
