摘要 A regeneration method of a zeolite beta catalyst is provided to recover catalytic activities by oxidizing a zeolite beta catalyst at a low temperature, and avoid cumbersomeness of moving the catalyst or limitedly designing structure of a reactor in order to perform high temperature oxidation. In a method for regenerating the catalyst, which accompanies a process of performing cyclization reaction of 5-ortho-tolylpentene or a mixture comprising the 5-ortho-tolylpentene using a zeolite beta catalyst, a regeneration method of the zeolite beta catalyst comprises the step of oxidizing the zeolite beta catalyst at a temperature of 100 to 200 deg.C in a nitrogen-diluted air. The oxidation is conducted at a temperature of 140 to 180 deg.C. A volume ratio of the nitrogen-diluted air to nitrogen is 0.1:1 to 10:1. The cyclization reaction is carried out at a temperature of 100 to 200 deg.C and a pressure of 0.1 to 1 atmospheric pressure(gauge pressure). The catalyst has a weight hourly space velocity of 0.1 to 10.
