<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a lens with good productivity, by adding a free-radical polymerization initiator to a polyvalent allylating compound with one or two benzene rings or naphthalene rings and a polyfunctional thiol compound, and injecting the mixture into a mold for a lens. CONSTITUTION:A polyvalent allylating compound with one or two benzene rings or naphthalene rings and a polyfunctional thiol compound are intimately mixed in an equivalent ratio of 1:0.8-1:1.5, in some cases, under heating up to 100 deg.C. Then a free-radical polymerization initiator is stirred thereinto and dissolved therein. The amount of the free-radical polymerization initiator is preferably 0.003-5% based on the total amount of the mixture. The thus formulated curable composition is injected into a mold for a lens and is allowed to stand in an atmosphere of 80-150 deg.C for 30min to 5hr so that it is cured by the thermal polymerization. After the curing, the intended lens is removed.</p> |
