<p>PURPOSE:To surely decompose ozone in sample gas and to almost prevent the generation of pressure loss by mutually superposing a large number of ozone decomposing materials in such a state that gas diffusing reticulated materials are interposed between the respective ozone decomposing materials. CONSTITUTION:A large number of ozone decomposing materials 30 each formed by supporting manganese dioxide particles on the skeletal surface of a flat plate-shaped substrate having a three-dimensional reticulated structure wherein a metal layer is formed to the skeletal surface of a foamed resin or on that of a flat plate-shaped substrate having a three-dimensional reticulated structure composed of vitreous carbon are mutually superposed in such a state that gas diffusing reticulated materials 32 are interposed between the respective ozone decomposing materials 30. Further, these decomposing materials 30 and reticulated materials 32 are arranged in a container 31 having a gas inflow port 31a and a gas outflow port 31b at both ends thereof. Then, the gas flowing in the container 31 from the gas inflow port 31a is passed through the decomposing materials 30 and the reticulated materials 32 to be allowed to flow out from the gas outflow port 31b. As a result, the ozone in sample gas can be surely decomposed and pressure loss is hardly generated.</p> |
