PURPOSE:To provide the subject product useful as a novel functional food mixed with aloe flesh pieces containing a plenty of polymeric polysaccharides, vitamins, etc., by blending the fresh flesh, dried flesh or frozen flesh of aloe with frozen dessert materials and subsequently freezing the blended product. CONSTITUTION:The fresh flesh, dried flesh or frozen flesh of aloe is blended with frozen dessert materials in an amount of 20-30% based on the frozen dessert materials and the blended product is frozen by a conventional method to provide the objective frozen dessert. The aloe is preferably one belonging to the vera species thereof which has the flesh in the largest amount and contains a plenty of functional ingredients such as vitamins. |
