PURPOSE:To readily perform photographing operation by discriminating whether a photographing optical system mounted on a camera main body side is an automatic diaphragm type controlled by the camera main body or not and automatically regulating selective exposure control modes if the photographing optical system is a non-automatic diaphragm type. CONSTITUTION:A selecting means which alternatively selects an exposure controlling mode among plural exposure controlling modes, a discriminating means which discriminates whether the mounted photographing optical system is the automatic diaphragm type controlled by the camera main body or not, and a regulating means are provided. The regulating means performs regulations so that the number of the exposure control modes which can be selected by the selecting means when it is discriminated that the photographing optical system in the non-diaphragm type is mounted by the discriminating means is below the number of the exposure control modes when it is discriminated that the photographing optical system in the automatic diaphragm type is mounted. Thus photographing is constantly performed under proper exposure control. |
