PURPOSE:To reduce the starting torque by constituting a solenoid satisfying a specific equation on the relationship between the spring force of the solenoid and the sum of the back pressure of a vane and the vane spring force so that the vane can be continuously held even when the solenoid voltage is zero. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid 9 is constituted so that an equation F1<muF2 is satisfied on the relationship between the spring 14 force F1 of the solenoid 9 and the sum of the back pressure of a vane 2 and the vane spring 5 force (where, mu is the coefficient of friction on the contact surface between the groove of the vane 2 and a pin 15). By constituting the solenoid 9 in this way, a movable iron core 13 can be prevented from moving due to the friction force between the pin 15 and the groove 26 even after the solenoid has been de-energized. Therefore, even if a relay 34 is made OFF 1,100msec after the time 39 when a compressor switch is turned OFF and the solenoid voltage 42 is dropped to zero, for instance, the pin 15 keeps to hold the vane 2 without returning to the right in the figure. Accordingly, the inside of a cylinder 1 is not partitioned into a high pressure side 23 and a low pressure side 24 by the vane 2, thus the starting torque can be reduced. |
